North Carolina

I just got back from my first trip ever without my kids, and my first trip to North Carolina. I went for a old college roommate's wedding.

I hate that the pictures of all of me, but I didn't have any kids to photograph! And I want to show my kids pictures of want I had been doing for 3 days.

Carson Gets Stitches

Ten minutes after arriving for our first night at our new house, Carson fall down the stairs. We spent 3 hours in the E.R. just to get 3 stitches.

Here is 8 days later, almost better.

4-H

Here are just some of my 4-H club members. We're going to have an awesome year!

Finished!

The front yard is in! Not very big, we know.

A view from upstairs.

Looking from the kitchen/great room area towards the front door.

The Dentist

All three of us had dentist appointments today.

We discovered Sydney's first cavity. She burst into tears when she found out.

It was Tyson's first visit, and although he looks pained, he actually did really well.

Sydney Has Learned to Ride a Bike

Her brothers were cheering her on.

In action.

She thinks it is fun and scary at the same time.
I have to bribe her with halloween candy to practice.

It's really nice that there is so much space at grandma's house to practice.

More Great Things about Grandma's!

We will be moving really soon, so we're really enjoying all the great things about grandmas house. We pick an apple off a tree in the orchard and eat it almost everyday (if it's not raining).

Climbing trees.

Silly faces.

Helping Grandpa with the burn pile.

Sunny

Grandma Huffman has a cat named "Sunny" that the kids love! And the best part is that the cat loves the kids! He plays with them and sleep with them. Often we find him asleep in the kids beds late at night, if they only knew he was there. Usually we lock the cats in the laundry downstairs at night, but occasionally they get let out early. A few day ago Sunny went into the kids room at 5:30am and woke them up. I heard giggling and whispers, and went in to investigate. They were not going back to sleep.

Painted!

We stopped by the house again, and now it's painted! Hurray, it's almost done. However, both Lance and I are little disappointed with the paint colors we chose. We wanted more contrast between the colors, and the have the browns be a little for sandy brown, and less pinkesh. Oh well, it's hard to pick colors off a little card. How are you suppose to know what it's going to look like!

Carved Pumpkins

We barely got it done in time, but we did carve pumpkins. This is Tyson's.

Sydney's is the cat face, with lots of help from Grandma.

I couldn't get Carson to stand still for the picture. But he too enjoyed the pumpkins.

Halloween!

The kids are getting ready to trick-or-treat.

Sydney's custome is that she is riding a unicorn, Tyson is a green dragon. He actually didn't feel well, still had a fever. So he mostly rode in the stroller, and Sydney has graciously shared her candy.

This is Tyson's best friend, Davis. I loved the smile on his face, it's a little different then the smile he normally gives the camera.

This is what Carson did during most of the trick-or-treating. I guess it was too much excitement.

Homemade Doughnuts!

First thing on Halloween morning was making homemade doughnuts with grandma! They were magnificent! Oh, and we had fresh apple cider to wash 'em down with.

Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

This was Sydney's first field trip! It was cold and raining, and she only wanted to be with me. Oh well.
Pumpkin bowling

This was a huge pile of potatoes. They happen to be there at the pumpkin farm.

Gotta pick the perfect one!

The Swine Flu !

O.K., so we never did actually get tested, but we were very sick! I got it first, and probably the worst. Then Sydney, then Carson, and finally Tyson. I can't tell you anything about Lance, you'll have to ask him.
