Oh Carson!!!!!!!

This is what happens when Carson feeds the fish. We did not give him permission to do so. However, we are glad we were able to get the fish right away. Carson was on a naughty streak today. In addition to feeding the fish, he colored all over the trim board, Sydney's door, and Sydney's desk with purple marker.

Preschool for Tyson

Tyson's first day of preschool was this week. He was so anxious to begin, probably because he has watched Sydney go to school for a long time now. He has two friends from his Sunbeam class there, which made it even more fun! He wishes he could go every day, but for now it's just Tuesday and Thursday.

Sydney's First Soccer Game EVER!

Today was Sydney's first soccer game! The last sport Sydney participated in was T-Ball, and now I know why soccer is SOOOOOO much better! There was constant action! The game was so fun to watch. Sydney had fun, which was most important. She isn't very agressive, so stays away from the crowds of girls who are following the ball. So it ended up that she didn't get the ball much, but it was still fun, and WAY better than T-Ball.

Sydney's a First Grader

First day of school! Hurray! Sydney was so nervous she couldn't eat any breakfast! This morning I gave her a charm to put on her back pack, a good luck present for the first day of school. She loved it! About 8 minutes later she brought it with her into the bathroom, and accidently dropped it into the toilet as she was flushing! GONE! What a way to start her big day! I felt so bad for her. Sydney received her new soccer jersey the night before, so that's what she wanted to wear on the first day.

Sydney is checking-in by moving her name to answer the question on the board. They use some sort of touch screen.

Lance's 32

The morning of Lance's birthday, this was breakfast. I baked pancake batter in cake pans, then covered it with syrup and whipped cream, add some candles and voila! The kids loved it!

Not Halloween

No, it's not Halloween, but my kids were begging for their old costumes to play in. I figured, why not? I paid too much money for them to just have them worn once!

Sydney's First Riding Lesson

I've decided to take a "leave of absence" from teaching riding lessons so I can spend more time with my kids (put simply). Now I can Sydney and my niece Ellie riding lessons. This was Sydney's first lesson. She was really excited, but attentiona and focus didn't last too long, so we kept it short. I think I'll start teaching again in the summers.

Camping at the Coast, Rainy of Course!

Yep, it rained! That's what we get for camping on the Oregon coast. It hasn't rained in the valley for two months, but as soon as we go camping, it pours. All night long is poured so loud on our tent it kept me awake at night, not to mention I was cold. Did you notice the giant puddle in front of our tent?
It continued to rain all morning. Enough that we started packing up and were going to leave a day early (our total trip was only going to two days long anyway).

We still had fun in the rain, after all, we are Oregonians right? These are our friends, the Alyworth family.

Trying to dry out. The rain started to stop and we decided to stay.

Lots of hanging out on the beach.

My favorite part of the trip was watching the sea lions. They hang out on a pier right in town.
