It took a lot of work to Carson to smile. He was looking at the little red light on the camera, and he wasn't sure what to think about it. This was the look I kept getting over and over.
Here are the kids, just sitting on the couch watching a movie! Well, Carson wasn't really watching, Tyson loves to smile for the camera, and Sydney is so glued to the TV she can't take her eyes off the screen even for the picture.
We wanted to make cookies for Grandpa Smith who is coming today. The mixer was going, and I turned my back to answer the phone, suddenly Sydney started screaming, and I knew immediately I needed to turn off the mixer. I turned it off, but it was too late, a huge chunk of Sydney's hair had gotten caught at the very top of the rotating beater and it wound up so fast it was already pulled out of her head. She wasn't even stuck to the beater anymore. There was enough hair that is was easy to unwind from the beater. Here she is holding the hair ( I didn't make her pose for the picture until she had recovered from the incident).
Riding a Camel! The Arizona zoo has camels you can ride for $5. They're not nearly as comfortable as a horse, but they're way taller! We didn't even have to wear helmets, and we all got to ride together!
