Bike Riding

Here are some videos of the kids riding bikes. They're not very exciting, but I thought Grandma and Grandpa Smith would enjoy them.

New Bikes!

We found new bikes for the kids at some garage sales yesterday! The kids love riding their bikes!

Strawberry Season

Every June we pick strawberries and make jam. The season for berries was a little later this year because of the cold weather. I talked to the kids before picking about being good helpers and not complaining, and I offered them a treat! Luckily the berries were so big and plentiful it only took 30 minutes to pick all these! And the kid were great helpers too.

Summer Fun!

After the coldest May, and the rainiest June on record, we are finally having some nice weather. Temps are in the mid 70's. Schools out, and the kids are enjoying the sunshine.

Sydney Gets Her Ears Pierced

Sydney's been asking for awhile now to get her ears pierced. We decided to have her wait until T-Ball was over so her helmet wouldn't bother her ears. This is her in the chair just before the piercing. She knew it would hurt, but she wanted it done so badly, she was willing to do it anyway.

The whole family came with her. Tyson was in on the excitement.

Girls Trip!

My sisters and I decided to take a girls trip (no husbands and no kids). We met down in Phoenix at my dad's house. He's not using it right now because he is staying up in Utah, so we had the whole place to ourselves! Eating out everynight. No doing dishes allowed!

Another Haircut

Well, after receiving too many comments about Carson's hair being too long, I decided it could use a trim. I really only meant to barely trim it, but I'm not a hair stylist, and I have no idea what I'm doing. So in the end, it's shorter than I like. I miss the curls that used to hang behind his ears.

Marathon # 2

Well, I don't know how they did it, but my friends convinced me to run another marathon! So after four months of training, here we are on the day before the marathon enjoying the coast.

We made sure the beach house we rented had a hot tub, because the kids love it of course! Nothing to do with us marathoners needing a place to relax.

This is about 10 minutes after I finished, I was still really really exhausted! This race was a lot harder than the first marathon, I think it was mostly because I caught a cold a few days earlier and was still under the weather.

This is my sister Trisha, with her husband and my mom. They were all so great! They rode a charter bus around the course and were able to cheer me on in several places. Trisha gave me candy when I needed it most, around mile 23, and then she ran with me for almost 3 miles! She wasn't even wearing running shoes. Thanks Trisha, I needed it.
